St. Leo is a quaint little town located in eastern Pasco County, approximately 35–40 miles north of downtown Tampa. However, the trade-off is a tranquil environment with mature landscaping, historic buildings surrounding the university and abbey, along with relatively easy access to both Tampa and Florida's Nature Coast.

Although St. Leo is small, there are several pleasant outdoor destinations nearby:
